Picture week 2020

Studio 68 Picture Schedule 2020

Dear Studio 68 Families:

Wow! What a difference a few days makes! Thank you for your patience as we regroup and figure out how to most responsibly handle the CoVid-19 issues while still keeping our year on track as much as possible.

StarFire Media is set up at Studio 68. With respect for Social Distancing, we will NOT have group pictures this week. Russ will come back April 17-18 (mark your calendars!) to shoot group photos for our program, the studio picture wall and your memory albums. We will work out a schedule for that once things calm down some. (Yes, we realize it's the end of "spring break" but we are working with what we have at the moment.)

Now for INDIVIDUAL dance portraits... we know these are important to you and to us as well. We will schedule appointments in 15 minute increments. This will keep the number of people in the building below 15 at any given time. We are currently scheduling appointments Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday. If needed, we will open more times on Thursday, Friday, Saturday.

SCHEDULE YOUR PHOTO SESSION HERE.

As you come in for pictures:

1) Wash your hands when you arrive and when you leave.

2) LIMIT THE NUMBER OF PEOPLE WITH YOU - dancer + whomever is helping her/him. Please do not have extra folks hanging around in the studio.

3) Be patient. We understand that your time slot is 1:15pm, but just like a doctor or dentist, we may be able to take you a little early or we may be a little behind. We will strive to stick to schedule and be very efficient, but patience and grace will be much appreciated.

Please keep in mind that this is uncharted territory for all of us - and we know it is for you as well. Everyone has their own opinions about over/under reacting and what's ok and not. I can assure you that we are monitoring everything practically nonstop and will adjust as needed when needed. Thank you again for your patience, support and understanding. We all need it right now!

Dancingly Yours,

Miss Stephanie, Miss Natalie and Studio 68 Staff

FAQS

Q - What do I do if I have more than one costume?

A - Still just sign up for one slot. We know it'll take you longer than 15 minutes, but because lots of people do just have one costume and won't take quite as long, we will alternate between and it'll all work out (we think) and still cut down on the total number of people at the studio. Keep in mind that during normal picture week, we can get through 18-20 people in an hour! We just have the 15 minute slots to space out the people in the building.

Q - What about siblings?

A - Sign up each dancer for her own time slot, please.

Q - What if I already signed up for a Father/Daughter time slot for pics?

A - You'll need to sign up again here. We apologize for the inconvenience.

Q - What if I don't feel comfortable coming to pictures? Can I get my sitting fee back?

A - We respect your decision. Sitting fee refund requests MUST BE RECEIVED VIA EMAIL by Saturday, March 21. You can choose a refund or an account credit. We will NOT entertain refund requests after March 21.

Q - Do I need a picture taken to have a tribute page in the program?

A - Yes. StarFire Media must take your photo in order for your dancer to have a tribute page in the program. Please reach out to Miss Stephanie if you need to discuss this.

Q - Can we get ready at the studio?

A - We would prefer you do hair/make up at home, and just change clothes here.

Q - How do we order pictures?

A - You have to order them this week, while StarFire Media is set up. Ideally, you'll be able to look and order after your photo slot, but if that's not possible, we will make LIMITED ordering appointments for later in the week. Again, we are trying to limit the number of people in the building at any given time.

Q - What happens next week?

A - We are going to reevaluate at the end of this week. We understand that isn't ideal, but none of this is. We are trying very hard to balance caution and social responsibility with calm decisions and normalcy for our dancers. Regardless of what we decide, we ALWAYS believe families should do what is best for them.
